You will find the Kingston Register Office on the lower ground floor of the historic Guildhall, which is located in the heart of Kingston and only a stone’s throw away from the River Thames. The Old Court House is steeped in history and boasts many ornate original features and impressive high ceilings. There are three ceremony rooms to choose from at the Kingston Register Office which is ideal from any small and intimate to large and grand ceremonies.
Ceremony Room One is the largest of their ceremony rooms and holds 70 guests and comes with equipped with cream chairs with sunburst gold organza bows, blue carpet and original wood paneling. This beautiful old Court Room was sympathetically restored in 2015 and still holds much of its original grandeur.
Ceremony Room Two can seat 40 guests and is a beautiful, light and bright with white organza bows on the chairs. Beautiful plants and foliage has been added to create an indoor garden feel to the room and add a relaxed atmosphere. Its perfect for slightly smaller ceremonies.
Ceremony Room Three is ideal if you’re looking for a small intimate ceremony with only those closest to you in attendance. It is only available Tuesdays to Thursdays. With seating for 8 guests only, it’s a great affordable option for a wedding celebration.
Every wedding or civil partnership is unique, and although the rooms can’t be individually decorated for each couple, you may personalise your ceremony with music, readings and unique promises to each other.
Photographs may be taken in the striking entrance hall before exiting by the front door. This is the perfect opportunity for some beautiful formal photographs as well as fun confetti.
