Ropertz Family Portrait Photography {Durban, South Africa}

As per previous trips back to South Africa (see their previous portrait session here), I got to photograph the adorable Ropertz children with their Yummy Mummy one sunny (but very windy!) afternoon. It wasn’t a very serious portrait session as such and so I mostly just let the kids pull face and have a giggle together – I really just wanted them to be themselves (they’re each so differant) and show the strong bond there clearly is between them.

Pritesh and Minolee {Hampstead Heath}: Pre-wedding Portraits

Minolee and Pritesh are getting married at the stunning English Heritage wedding venue called Wrest Park in Bedfordshire in April next year. I’ve known Min for a while now and was absolutely delighted to be asked to be her and Prit’s wedding photographer. We planned their autumnal pre-wedding portraits in Hampstead in early spring already and so on the day I was just hoping that we’ll get the beautiful autumn colours and soft romantic light that I had been envisioning for all those months and yeah, it was a perfect afternoon!

Prit and Min, thank you for a wonderful afternoon exploring the Heath. I’m even more excited now (if that’s even possible!?), I can’t wait to photograph your wedding next year! Not long to go now xox

Anthony and Rebecca {Cannizaro House, Wimbledon}

Finally a chance to post a few more images from the lovely Rebecca and Anthony’s wedding in early May at Wimbledon’s finest wedding venue – Cannizaro House. They’d met at university in Oxford and had been together for nearly 10 years and the sunny afternoon differed greatly from halfway up a mountain in snowy Lapland where they got engaged! Their afternoon wedding tea was just perfect for their informal and very relaxed wedding reception. Rebecca grew up in the area and had many fond memories of Cannizaro so it was extra special for her to be getting married somewhere so familiar.

Rebecca’s vintage inspired David Fielden wedding dress is known as the Wallis Simpson.. I love it!

Mari Lawrence at Seasons Flowers did Rebecca’s bouquet of Lily of the Valley and Muscari.

I always love working with the very talented and award wining Kaz Fernando.

Rebecca’s bracelet was adapted from a pearl necklace that belonged to her grandmother.

After their wedding ceremony, we took a walk in the grounds of Cannizaro for a quick few informal portraits. The garden’s were beautiful with lots of wild flowers.

Meanwhile their lovely friends and family were enjoying celebratory drinks out on the terrace in the sunshine!

Afternoon tea was absolute bliss.. yum yum!

A massive thank you to Emma and the team at Cannizaro House. And of course much congratulations and thank you for a very wonderful afternoon Rebecca and Anthony! x

How cute is this little guy!? At around 6 months it was the perfect time to capture him sitting beautifully.. and wow, the eyes are just too gorgeous for words – the girls had better watch out, he’s going to break some hearts one day :-)

Now that peak wedding season has come and gone I’m loving the opportunity to photograph all these very well timed precious little arrivals. This cutie pie with the lovely and unusual name of Peyton was 6 weeks old last week when I got to photograph her and she was super awake and taking in the world. I love how it looks like she’s saying “Are you looking at me?”

Playing dress up is so much fun!

This precious little girl called Willow (love her name!) was only 23 days old when I photographed her and despite her being a whopping 9lbs 3oz she’s still all tiny and newborn sleepy.. too gorgeous for words. More coming soon!

If you’d like more information about newborn portrait photography, please get in touch. It’s best to try and book this in whilst you’re still pregant and we work around your due date to ensure we capture your new born baby whilst they’re still as tiny as possible – the first couple of weeks are ideal for sleepy newborn portraits.

Wow, what a day it was.. the “last” gorgeous summer’s day of the year. When I met Richard and Charlotte back in January they were concerned it may rain on their wedding day, but far from it on the day.. instead the sun was beating down and everyone loved hanging out, relaxing and soaking up the sunshine in the beautiful gardens at Oaks Farm. Here’s a favourite for now, more available soon.
